Head of Operations with excellent management, team leadership, planning, organisational and people skills is required for a well-established Company based in Central London.
SALARY: up to £70,000 per annum + Bonus (up to two months salary potential annually)
BENEFITS: Travel / Car Allowance £12,800 (mix of rail season ticket and car allowance as required), 28 Days Annual Leave plus Public Holidays, Pension (11% employer contribution), Life Assurance 4 x Annual Salary, Group Income Protection 75% of Salary.
Working hours: monday to friday 0830 – 1700 hours.

Working as the Head of Operations you will have 14 direct reports that in turn manage up to 213 staff within your region.
As the Head of Operations, you will report directly to the UK and Ireland Managing Director and will be responsible for effectively managing the delivery of first class, profitable parking facilities and services across your assigned region.
To be successful in this role you will have previous senior management experience within a service organisation such as Retail, Hospitality or similar sector. You should be strategic with excellent commercial acumen and have excellent people skills.

Duties
Your duties and responsibilities as the Head of Operations:
Implement business strategy to meet agreed organisational performance plans within agreed budgets and timescales for financial and trading performance, quality, culture and legislative adherence.
Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational management and development.
Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales.
Manage and develop direct reporting staff.
Ensure Human Resources policies and procedures are adhered to throughout the business.
Conduct appraisals for all direct reports on a regular basis.
Manage and control business expenditure within agreed budgets.
Liaise with other functional/departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of the organisation, and to ensure they are fully informed of operational and commercial objectives, purposes and achievements.
Ensure opportunities to maximize revenue and occupancy of the parking facilities are delivered, and that sound commercial relationships with corporate partners are developed.
Where appropriate develop, and maintain a sound business relationship with client partners to ensure full compliance with contractual obligations within management contract arrangements.
Contribute to the evaluation and development of business strategy and performance along with other members of the senior management team.
Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
Communicate and execute the Company’s vision, mission and values at all times, both internally and externally to the organisation.
Through customer feedback and internal feedback ensure that in conjunction with the Heads of Department the Company is addressing service issues and constantly developing standards and products in line with customers’ needs and brand values.
Ideal candidate requirements
Degree level education desirable
Previous management level experience in a service organisation with experience of initialising of change and re-structuring processes.
Extensive experience in general management functions in the services sector (such as in the retail or hospitality / hotel sector)
Ability to see the ‘big picture’ and ensure results.
Extremely strong capabilities in the management of complex processes containing a variety of different disciplines.
Outstanding people and task-oriented leadership qualities (results-orientation)
Good planning and organisational skills
People management abilities, geared towards the development and leadership of employees.
Decisive, charismatic, motivated and stimulating in character.
Strengths in creating and maintaining a network of external contacts.
Good commercial and negotiating skills
An affinity with parking and mobility challenges.
