The Head of Musical Theatre and Drama will co-ordinate the delivery of all Acting, Musical Theatre and Singing teaching across Glenlyn Academy. As a senior member of the team, they will work alongside the Principal and Vice-Principal in ensuring all classes are maintained to Glenlyn Academy’s high standards. They will be instrumental in developing the Academy’s curriculum and will also organise and coordinate events across the year.
The majority of time will be spent teaching Acting (group classes), Musical Theatre (group singing and ensemble repertoire) and Singing (individual classes covering technique and repertoire). The successful applicant will teach at all levels (Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced) to students aged 7 to 18 years old as well as adults.
The successful candidate would also be expected to teach LAMDA (Acting and Musical Theatre) syllabus work. Previous experience of this would be beneficial but not essential as training will be given. The ability to play the piano would also be beneficial for Musical Theatre and Singing classes.

Teaching hours: Up to 11 hours a week (depending on timetable)
Salary: £25 p/h
