Head of Group and Leisure Sales at The Ned How The Ned Happened Taking over the City’s disused Midland Bank Building, Soho House and Co. And New York’s Sydell Group have collaborated to restore the beautiful Grade I listed building. Hosting 9 restaurants, bars, a member’s club, Barber and Parlour, Ned’s Club Active and Relax, two swimming pools, along with six dedicated event spaces. Private Parties and Events The Ned has six Grade I-listed meeting rooms and two outdoor terraces available for members to hire on the historic and fully-restored sixth floor.The sixth-floor hosts many of our monthly members’ events, which range from talks and workshops to live performances and dinners. The Role Responsible for driving Group and Travel Industry segments through man management of M.I.C.E. Sales Manager and Travel Industry Sales Manager to achieve individual and team revenue goals. In addition, account management of defined key direct booking Group accounts and Travel Industry partners, maintaining customer relationships and business levels, within the domestic, European and international market place. The role includes regular 1-2-1’s with Sales Managers, appraisals, corporate strategy development, conducting customer sales calls, presentations, preparing and executing action plans, negotiating rates/contracts. Role will include international sales trips where required and any other duties assigned by the Director of Sales to increase market share and penetration.Key Responsibilities: • Manage and development of M.I.C.E. Sales Manager and Travel Industry Sales Manager• Manage and develop all related accounts within your responsibility• Exceed pre-determined event, room night and revenue goals as outlined by the Director of Sales• Conduct customer sales calls, presentations and ongoing account assessments to maximize revenue potential and harness key account relationships• Solicit all Group and Travel Industry business through the preparation, execution and completion of Action Plans• Compile and analyze month end reports, review and implement action plans to address market share penetration and achieve budget expectations• Within established parameters, quote and negotiate group rates with customers, handle and follow up on Inquiries, Proposals and Contracts and RFP’s within the company guidelines• Maintain a strong liaison between Revenue Management / Reservations, to ensure that our Travel Industry partners rates are loaded and available in the GDS and CRS• Upon closing all critical business deals, coordinate and follow-up with other hotel departments to ensure delivery of superior guest service• As directed, compile and input market intelligence information to CRM system• As directed, participate in trade shows, conventions and promotional events within the hotel, the industry and customer organizations• Maintain a full account database, account information, activities and bookings in sales CRM systemWe Offer:• One of the most competitive salaries in the industry.• 28 paid holidays per annum inclusive of bank holidays• Complimentary meals on duty• Annual staff events• Discounted rates at The Ned for accommodation, food, drink, spa and products • Fantastic career growth opportunities.
