Rhubarb is expanding its team at the iconic Royal Albert Hall.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Event Manager / Head of Events Sales to the join the rhubarb team at the Royal Albert Hall.
As Head of Events you will be in charge of the team, for all contracts and be the lead person for all opening and closings of all the outlets around the Royal Albert Hall.
To be a foodie is key in our business and one of many other existing responsibilities within this role is working together with our culinary team to develop menus, attend the tastings and to develop the offer to stay innovative.
Job Role
Responsible for managing the Event Planning team in their delivery of Events and Hospitality
In charge of leading the team to produce creative new menus, packages theming and overall guest experience
Accountable for event management and customer experience provided from initial enquiry, quotation, through to completion and invoicing.
Manage the catering contract and relevant supplier relationships day to day, in order to provide the best value for money and consistent service to all customers at all times.
To build, represent and manage a strong relationship with the Royal Albert Hall and ensuring the planning team works towards the same vision.
Financially responsibility for event P and L, forecasting and budgeting
In charge of the rhubarb Forward Planning for all restaurants, bars and events at the Royal Albert hall. Analysis for improving revenue opportunities to generate increased sales commercially and through various feedback channels
Maintaining customer base, fostering existing business relationships and building new ones
Turning quotes around, working in a fast paste environment. These quotes could include all food and beverage, equipment with the company's financial goals and target gross profit margins.
Generate a weekly events pack with your team, ensuring all details are correct and checked.
Chair weekly function sheet meeting with kitchen, FOH operations and BOH operations.
Weekly/monthly meeting with the planning team, in charge of appraisals, set KPIs and discuss the career progress and form an action plan
Attend all the weekly meetings with RAH, keep the Forward Planning updated and ensure everyone has got the information in a timely manner
Assist in any reasonable aspect of the rhubarb operation when required
Candidate Profile

Extensive experience in a similar role either in a 4-5* hotel or unique venue
