Head of Data Management and Operations, a new role that has been created to address these needs and drive standardisation, efficiency and continuous improvement in operational activities across the organisation.
You will work in partnership the Head of IT, the Head of Business Architecture and Change, as well with those heading up the Business Unit Operations, Finance and Actuarial functions in the business.
The role holder will be the overall business owner for the organisations newly introduced SAP operations platform and drive vision strategy, delivery, business support and governance for the platform. They will have responsibility for developing and maintaining the global data management vision and strategy.
This will include data management oversight across the organisation and specific responsibility for operations data management. They will have responsibility for establishing and monitoring operational quality standards across the organisation in conjunction with senior management and other stakeholders.
This will include standardized business processes and supporting capabilities.
The role holder will manage a small team of analysts and have a dotted line report from the regional Business Unit Operations Managers.
experience:
* experience of implementing Data governance on a large scale
* experience of financial services or insurance
* experience in business management for a technical platform
* experience in an operational management role with significant emphasis on standardisation and improvement
* experience in the re-insurance, or insurance industry beneficial
* Self-starter, with strong leadership skills
* Able to challenge the status quo and drive capabilities and activities to achieve continuous improvement.
