We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and talented Head Florist to join our award winning team at The Lanesborough hotel.
As Head Florist you will be expected to become fully aware of The Lanesborough Culture, provide an excellent Service experience and demonstrate the high level of Guests Recognition that The Lanesborough is renowned for. You must be able to promote and be confident with all of the facilities offered within the hotel, be responsible for all of the internal as well as external planted and floral displays that can be found within the guest and public areas, guest rooms and Suites as well as our private dining and event spaces. Setting the scene as part of the first impression for our guests of The Lanesborough is our centre floral arrangement in the heart of the lobby. You must be able to demonstrate excellent creativity and interpretation and must also be able to express innovation and vision within the boundaries of the hotel style, this style being based upon an extremely luxurious yet homely Grand Residence.
You will be expected to accommodate guest requirements as and when necessary and will also be expected to build firm relationships with all of the in-house guest service departments, this is important as on any occasion whether planned for or last minute, all guest requirements must be guaranteed. You will be expected to demonstrate a polite manor and will on occasion also be expected to communicate with our guest’s directly.
The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
Proven track record within the top level of London floristry at a senior level, an excellent knowledge of design, event installation, costing, floral seasons, cultural preferences and perceptions is a must.
Previous experience within a supervisory position with the ability to recruit, manage, train and inspire.
You must have excellent communication skills and a mature attitude towards working within a five star location.
You must be able to demonstrate confidence as this role will involve guest as well as event based client meetings.
You must be able to build relationships easily and be willing to support other departments within the hotel when needed.
You must demonstrate a flexible attitude towards work patterns and shift changes and must be willing to work weekends where needed in-order to ensure that all wedding and event instillations are taken care of correctly.
Please note this role requires an element of manual handling.
Excellent command of the English language and a second language would be preferred.
