Tap Taverns are seeking a talented Head Chef for the launch of a new, independent pub/bar focused on craft Beers and modern British cuisine.
Opening late June/July 2022
Our ideal candidate will be working alongside an experienced team of hospitality individuals, who are seeking a passionate chef to develop a simple, modern, British food menu to complement an extensive beer concept offering. At least 2 years’ experience at Head Chef level, or those at senior sous looking to make a step up.
An exciting opportunity to develop and deliver an unique offering of fresh grilled/smoked meats dishes, bar snacks, small sharing plates and cheeses boards. Successful candidate will have opportunity to assume full creative control of the menu and operational responsibility of the kitchen from day one from launch.
Key roles and responsibilities include:
- Delivering an exciting, seasonal food menu and offering
- Recruiting and managing a small kitchen team, good leadership and communication skills essential
- Working and liaising with local suppliers and producers
- Ensuring that kitchens budgetary financial targets are met
- Ensuring all company procedures are adhered to with regards to health and safety, hygiene and licensing
- Ensure the kitchen appropriately staffed and to implement a recruitment and development process for the team.
- Manage and oversee the food quality from the kitchen to ensure standards and customer expectations are met
