Hello and thank you for checking out our posting, We are small independent group of bars and restaurants and we are seeking a new Head Chef for our Flag ship venue in Hackney near Old Street station.
The Venue specialises in Street Food, mainly burgers and platters for large group bookings. We like to freshen up our food menus twice a year so we are looking for someone passionate and creative to help keep our food as exciting as our Cocktails.
The position would suit a junior Head chef or a someone working as a sous in a large food operation looking to take a step into running their own kitchen. Food safety and record keeping is number one on our list so you must be trained in all food safety training to apply.
Christmas here is a big one with food sales in the region of 115k for the 4 weeks, and the menu is centred around canapes and bowl food so you should have experience with large corporate parties and able to run a team of chef in prep and service.
This position has a bonus structure attached to it which is aimed at food sales growth and Food safety scores.
This is a 5 day a week position and the hours are quite favourable at approximately 45 hours a week. The kitchen is open from 4pm Mon - Saturday until 10pm, The team is small so this is an intimate operation with 1 other chef and a part time KP.
experience in british and american cuisine is essential as well as Canape's and light bites for large christmas bookings.
