My client is a small independent catering company providing high-end tailormade menus for both corporate and private clients who want sophisticated, creative cuisine at their events.
Working out of a well-equipped production kitchen, menus are up to date with current industry trends whilst staying true to classical roots with great emphasis on quality and presentation.
Working alone or with a small team you will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of your kitchen including;
All food production, quality assurance, stock management and wastage.
Menu development
compliance with all statutory regulations and legislation.
Food safety and hygiene
Required: Qualifications / Skills / experience.
Minimum of 2 years as Head Chef or Senior Sous in a similar catering operation.
experience to Michelin star level
Ability to manage a multi outlet kitchen
Excellent attention to detail
Up to date with current industry trends
Passion and enthusiasm for food and quality.
First rate culinary skills in all sections.
Hardworking, outgoing, sociable and flexible.
Dietary aware
You must be comfortable working closely with the owner and clients to ensure that menu content and delivery meets the event specification.
The role will include working in and running event kitchens on site.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, resourceful, self-motivated and loyal professional chef prepared to commit several years to taking this successful business to the next level. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious chef to forge his/her own reputation on the London culinary scene.
Flexible hours, generous holiday/time off.
Salary: £28,000 to £34,000 on a self-employed basis.
