Head Chef for Fresh Food Pub in North London

An exciting position has opened for a capable and ambitious Head Chef to join an extremely large, independent pub in Arnos Grove, North London, 18 minutes north of Kings Cross on the Piccadilly line.
Beautifully refurbished in June, with a large new garden and an art deco charm. The pub offers a fresh vibrant seasonally changing in house designed grill menu alongside a large selection of locally sourced craft beer. With 160 internal covers, outside space and an open kitchen, this is a great opportunity for a Head Chef looking for their next challenge.
You’re an inspiring individual who thrives on developing people. You will work closely with the General Manager to create a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team.
You will…
Be passionate about delicious, exciting and fresh food
Be a firm believer in using fresh and local market produce
Have experience in negotiating with suppliers and driving quality, and strengthening relationships.
Hold regular team meetings and training sessions, ensuring the whole team are a part of, and understand the big and small goals every day.
Demonstrate great planning and organisation skills.
Able to cost dishes, write recipes, manage to a labour target, manage food profit margins
Ensure HACCAP and all legal documents are accurate and up to date.
Be able to ensure staffing levels are correct and wage target is achieved.
Have managed a kitchen with food sales in excess of 12k net per week
As a Head Chef you will receive excellent support, but have freedom to make your mark on this exciting new business.
Salary = £35k-38k (negotiable) plus competitive bonus scheme, live-out, employee benefits scheme.
