Head Chef at The Common Job in London

The Common restaurant, launched 6months ago, in up and coming Willesden Junction, is looking for an experienced head chef (26-28K plus up to 3K bonus depending upon experience) to join our team, serving up contemporary food in a stunning canal side restaurant.
The focus is vibrancy, healthy, simple, fresh, British with well travelled flavours, with an emphasis on sharing. We have a large grill and pizza oven (inside and wood fired outside) and a weekly changing specials menu which the head chef will be responsible for.

We launched a brand new restaurant and bar experience in Willesden Junction as part of a co-living and co-working project, called the Common
The space operates 7 days per week, with a distinct day and night offering for the local residents, local communities and local workforce.

All staff within the team will need to be kept up to date with the functions/business of the day, menus, and have comprehensive product knowledge to department standards - this will be your responsibility, as will driving and motivating the members of your team.
Your communication skills and 'can do' attitude that you will use with customers and with your team, will be one of your biggest strengths. Its an open kitchen and we welcome the chefs to talk to the guests!
The role involves working 5 days a week. The shifts will often be 'split shifts' due to the need to serve two out of the three services per day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).
You will need to have excellent attention to detail and be 'standards' driven. You will be well presented.
You must be aware that the hours will involve shift work, weekends and bank holidays.
