About the pub
Take a wander down Streatham High Street and you will no doubt end up in Pratts and Payne, a pub named after the two most memorable landmarks from Streathams past; the now sadly destroyed Pratts department store and recently deceased madam Cynthia Payne.
Full of fine Ales, delicious food, music, board games and a host of events, you only need spend five minutes chatting to the staff to find out just what the pub has to offer.
Summer months see the garden full for the barbecues, while the Sunday roasts take over in the cooler winter months and celebrations such as Christmas and Halloween have a special place in the pubs heart too and are not to be missed.
About the Head Chef role
As Head Chef at Antic you will get to cook seasonal British fresh food cooked from scratch ingredients using the best suppliers, develop a high-quality menu whilst controlling costs. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following;
Day to day operation of the kitchen
Taking control of all administration tasks.
Ordering, and accepting deliveries
Training of kitchen team members
Maintaining and introducing procedures to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
Controlling General Practitioner
Liaising with suppliers
Rostering effectively and controlling kitchen labour.
Developing new dishes and creating seasonal menus.
Working with the General Manager to generate ideas for foodie events, and increasing revenue for the site.
You will report directly to the General Manager but work closely with the Executive Chef.
