The Sky Garden sits at the top of the iconic Walkie Talkie building, 20 Fenchurch Street, and houses 2 restaurants, 2 bars and stunning event spaces.
We are now looking for a dynamic Head Bartender to join our team in Darwin Brasserie on level 36 of the iconic Sky Garden.
Job role
Reporting into the Bars Manager, the successful Head Bartender will be responsible for leading the bar team - barista's and bartenders, plus providing operational and commercial support to the General Manager of a stunning high volume, all-day casual dining operation
You will adhere to all purchasing and stock control procedures including meeting gross margin targets as set by the Board of Directors of rhubarb
The successful Head Bartender will establish an adequate communication and feedback structure between floor and bar staff to improve the service provision and enhance an efficient operation flow
You must be a proficient mixologist, extremely creative, client facing and have an encyclopedic knowledge of the London cocktail scene.
Candidate profile
As Head Bartender you will have strong and progressive background in high-end, high turnover City or West End bars, ideally at at least supervisor or junior management level as a minimum.
The Head Bartender must be impeccably presented, engaging and possess excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
Also it goes without saying an excellent knowledge of the London bar scene from cocktails to coffee.

£11 to £12.50 per hour
