Happy Live-in Au pair Job September start Crouch End
We are a friendly family looking for a happy, good-natured and responsible Au pair, living in, starting early September.
We have two wonderful and well-behaved girls of 10 and 8 years.
We're looking for someone who:
• Speaks excellent English. This is essential.
• Is aged 20 + years
• Has experience with children of a similar age to ours and can supply 2 contactable references
• Has a genuine love and passion for looking after children. Ideally you’ll be responsible, reliable and honest, as well as warm, loving and fun. You will need to be organised and flexible.
• Committed to stay in the job for at least 12 months.
• Has a UK/EU Visa/Work Permit,
• Is happy to live in a Kosher household
• Is a non-smoker
• Is ideally trained in First Aid.
You will need to be available now for an interview in London.
We can offer you:
A LOVELY large light quiet bedroom with ensuite bathroom, king-size bed, TV, wireless internet access, stereo cd player.
We live in Crouch End, an exciting area in North London with plenty of shops, cafes, swimming pools and parks. We are only 8km from central London and the most convenient stations are Highgate and Finsbury Park. There are many nannies and au pairs in the area for you to meet.
Working Hours and Responsibilities:
Mon–Fri 7.45–8.45am : Help get the children ready for school.
Tue, Weds, Thursday 3–730: Look after the children (sole charge until 6.30pm) including pick-ups from school which is a 10-minute walk from home. 3 hours child care in the afternoon on a Monday or Friday.
One or two evenings babysitting per week including one at the weekend.
During most school holidays we will need childcare all day Tuesday and Wednesday for which you will be paid extra.
Other responsibilities will include:
• Supervising and helping with homework.
Ensuring children are stimulated with age-appropriate activities, including trips to park, arts and crafts, reading and homework, piano and violin practice and organising play dates
• Preparing tasty, varied and nutritionally balanced meals for children
• Keeping the house tidy and cleaning up after children.
• Doing the children’s laundry
We have a very good cleaner who will clean the house once a week.
We pay £105- £135 (30 hours) depending on hours agreed and experience as well as 4 weeks paid holiday annually. We will pay more for someone who has substantial child care experience.
