Happy Live-in Au pair Job April/ May start Crouch End.
We are a friendly family looking for a happy, good-natured and responsible Au pair, living in, starting in April/ May.
We have two wonderful and well-behaved girls of 10 and 12 years.
We're looking for someone who:
• Speaks Excellent English
• Is aged 20 + years
• Has experience with children and can supply 2 contactable references.
• Able to supervise and help with homework and music practice.
• Able to plan appropriate activities for holidays.
• Has a genuine love and passion for looking after children. You will be responsible, reliable and honest, as well as warm, loving and fun. You will need to be organised and flexible.
. Can cook delicious and nutritious meals.
• Committed to stay in the job for at least 12 months.
• Has a UK/EU Visa/Work Permit,
• Is happy to live in a Kosher household
• Is a non-smoker
• Is ideally trained in First Aid.
You will also need to be available for interview in London in december or first week in January.
About us
We have two wonderful and well-behaved girls of 10 and 12 years who as their teacher recently said brings sunshine where ever they go.
They love to dance, sing, swim, draw, chat and our eldest is learning the piano and our youngest the violin.
They are very loving and easy going relaxed children so we are hoping to find a relaxed happy calm au pair who can also set limits and help them get on with their homework.
Their mother is a paediatrician and it is important to us that you love to be with children.
We are warm friendly people but we also like our space and to relax together as a couple.
We can offer you:
A LOVELY large light quiet bedroom with ensuite bathroom, king-size bed, TV, wireless internet access, stereo cd player.
We live in Crouch End, an exciting area in North London with plenty of shops, cafes, swimming pools and parks. We are only 8km from central London and the most convenient stations are Highgate and Finsbury Park. There are many nannies and au pairs in the area for you to meet and a number of different language schools.
Expectations
We need an aupair who can supervise homework and instrument practice, speaks ENGLISH fluently and is able to plan activities for holidays and entertain the children with age appropriate activities.
They also need to be able to cook.
Working Hours and Responsibilities:
Mon–Fri 7–9am: Help get the children ready for school.
Tue, Weds, Thursday 3pm–7.30 pm: Look after the children (sole charge until 6.30/7pm) including pick ups from school which is a 10 minutes walk from our house.
One or two evenings babysitting per week including one at the weekend.
During most school holidays we will need childcare all day Tuesday and Wednesday.
Other responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring children are stimulated with age-appropriate activities, including swimming, arts and crafts, reading and homework, piano/ violin practice and organising play dates.
• Preparing tasty, varied and nutritionally balanced meals for children.
• Keeping the house tidy and cleaning up after children.
• Doing the children’s laundry at times convenient to you three times a week.
We pay £105- £135 (30 hours) for aupairs depending on hours agreed and experience as well as 4 weeks paid holiday annually.
Live out nannies will be paid per hour.
