The Handyman role
Reporting to our Small Works Co-Coordinator, you will complete varied assigned tasks including painting and decorating, basic carpentry, plumbing and plaster repair jobs. As our Handyman you will be working in prestige homes and representing our Family and our brand, you must strive to deliver the best service and quality of workmanship on every job.
Our ideal Handyman
- You will be focused, trustworthy, reliable, well presented and enthusiastic with a 'can do' attitude.
- Strong communication skills and good written and spoken English.
- NVQ and/or SSSTS/ SMSTS qualified candidates preferred.
- CSCS card must be held
- Safety conscious and able to follow instructions and specified systems of work.
- Able to demonstrate competence and experience in this area of work.
- Show understanding of when works are specialised and require escalation (e.g. To a qualified electrician or Gas Safe engineer)
- You will be able to show experience of planning and taking the initiative to get the job done.
- Able to adapt and think on your feet.
- Humorous, personable, professional- gets on with people and finds solutions, not problems.
