Our knowledge of the market is unrivalled, stemming from over 60 years in the business, coupled with uniquely incisive consumer research.The nature of SSP's business model necessitates operating across a broad and complex stakeholder base, as stores are typically located within highly regulated environments, requiring greater sophistication in how maintenance and energy housekeeping initiatives are undertaken.The Group Property + Equipment Manager will be a subject expert role and will be accountable for ensuring that facilities management costs such as maintenance, pest control and cleaning as well as energy housekeeping initiatives are delivered in the most cost effective manner across the Group and service levels are in line with business needs and be responsible for ensuring that group-wide processes are adhered to and updated from time to time.The Role The Group Property and Equipment Manager will work closely with the global teams across the estates. This is a hybrid role, which could suit a Quantity Surveyor who would like to develop their skills beyond contract management / energy awareness into sourcing equipment or an individual who is looking for a broader scope role beyond property project management. There are four key areas for the Group Property and Equipment Manager to develop. 1 Capital Equipment - Securing best commercial terms for Capital equipment such as coffee machines, ovens, chillers, furniture etc for supply across Europe primarily 2 Energy housekeeping initiatives to reduce energy consumption in stores working alongside a third party expert company 3 Facilities management costs such as maintenance, pest control and cleaning 4 Supporting the review of the business cases for new capital schemesTo Make an Impact in this role, you will: * Drive bottom value in all the above areas in the form of savings and improved service levels which are fit for the business * Secure formal terms and agreements where appropriate * Work effectively with all the key stakeholders The Details You'll have the following skills: * Technical knowledge around HVAC systems and catering equipment. * experience overseeing facilities management * Financially minded with a background in securing commercial terms and agreements * Ability to influence senior stakeholders * Appreciative of different business cultures * Strong desire for continuous improvement will join a team of people working across our business to drive profitability. * Using your analytical expertise you will design, test and measure pricing and commercial trials to make business recommendation.You'll also be supporting local teams in reviewing the impact of commercial trials and pricing scenarios.
