Grounds Maintenance Manager
Location: London
Salary: Up to £30k DOE
Position: Full time, permanent. Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Accuro Environmental are proud to be experts in the servicing of Cleaning, Grounds Maintenance, Arboriculture, Street Cleaning and Waste Management contracts. Designed to deliver, they have brought together some of the most experienced and capable talent to provide a first-class choice for the environmental services industry.
To strengthen their existing team, they are currently looking to employ a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Manager, to manage contracts across London.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within the industry, and experience of managing teams and multiple Grounds Maintenance contracts in the public sector.
Your duties will include:
Managing all aspects of your contract business safely and efficiently, maximising profitability through the completion of work within agreed programme schedules and within budget
To ensure that you and your team provide an outstanding level of customer service at all times
Driving continuous improvement and developing a culture of best practise across the business
Ensuring that all matters relating to Health and Safety are addressed, including ensuring that all works are carried out in a safe manner and in compliance with current legislation
Responsibility for management, motivation, performance, training and support of Grounds Maintenance staff
Ensuring that method statements and risk assessments are prepared and issued as required
Gain an in-depth knowledge of all contract documentation, including all specifications and contract drawings, to enable the works to progress in an efficient manner
Undertake the completion of costings and general pricing for variations, or assist others to do so when requested
Initiate, maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers and suppliers
Participate in contract monitoring meetings with key customers
Other tasks as required in accordance with the needs of the business
Key Skills and Qualities needed:
experience of delivering multiple Grounds Maintenance contracts with a proven track record in the industry
experience of working in a managerial position, with responsibility for costings and working to budgets
A good working knowledge of all Health and Safety regulations
A highly motivated individual
Excellent customer service skills
Driving licence is essential for this position
Confident with using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
