Wage / Salary: : £15,366.00 gross per annum, £13.00 gross per hour weekday, £15.00 gross per hour weekend
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? Yes, on duty
Essential experience: Supporting a child with a physical disability, supporting a child with a learning disability
Start Date: as soon as possible
Hours: Term Time: 7.00am – 9.00am Monday – Friday and Sunday 12.00 – 8.00pm
School Holidays: 8.00am – 8.00pm 2 days a week (can be flexible for the right candidate) Saturday 12.00 – 8.00pm
Joseph is a fun, energetic and active young man. He lives in Lewisham with his mother, older sister and younger brother. Joseph has cerebral palsy, developmental delay, microcephaly and learning difficulties.
This role is about supporting Joseph through his personal care tasks, morning routine, assisting with his meals and transfers helping him to get up and ready for school. Due to Joseph’s situation he struggles with his transfers and high levels of support are required. On a Sunday and during school holidays you will be working a longer day and these are opportunities to get out into the community, support Joseph to engage in activities and to facilitate him to have fun in a constructive manner.
This is a fantastic position for someone studying or working in a school as the hours during term time are low and the 9am finish makes it easy to fit this role in with other commitments.
You will be confident, composed and energetic, Joseph loves someone with a sense of fun. He’s also a budding Drummer so someone with a passion for music would fit in well here.
