Joshua, 23 is embarking on an exciting new venture as he prepares to move into supported living in September. He is a bright and charming young man who has a superb sense of humour and is looking for a dynamic PA to match. Joshua has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, unable to use his hands so is dependent on others for all aspects of his daily routine. Joshua is intellectually bright and communicates well verbally so can give you great direction!
The job will involve accompanying Joshua to activities, courses or volunteering placements and supporting him day to day with emails, phone calls and using his computer. This job is not entirely a care job, although there will be an element of personal care and assistance with feeding Joshua when out and about so you must be comfortable with this. Full training will be provided.
The job will suit someone who is motivating, energetic and happy to chat away to Joshua throughout the day. Joshua loves technology so someone with a similar interest would be really helpful. Aside from that he loves going to the theatre and especially has a soft spot for musicals!
This is a fun and rewarding opportunity for a bright, sparky and motivating personal assistant who will be able to assist this young man on his next chapter.
