FAMILY: We are a professional couple looking for a caring, responsible and experienced nanny to care for our two young children – a four-year-old boy and a two-year-old girl. The wife is a hospital doctor and the husband travels frequently for work. Our previous nanny was with us for over 4 years and says we have been wonderful to work for.
ROLE: You will be a nanny with at least three years experience in nannying or child care work. You must love children and be mature, reliable, trustworthy, punctual and well presented. We are a non-smoking household and would prefer a non-smoker.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preparing meals for the children
Taking the children to all activities (the boy is at school 5 afternoons a week)
Putting the children down for bed
Changing nappies and clothing, as well as washing and drying clothes as required
Bathing the children
Playing with the children and taking them for walks
Reading to the children
Some cleaning and general housekeeping
You have your own room with a large shared bathroom with the children.
In return, you will be well treated and will receive a good wage and meals, have full use of the house, and be treated as one of the family.
HOURS: We need someone to work 8 am-6 pm 5 days a week in our beautiful, newly renovated house in Maida Vale. Saturdays and Sundays are free except two Saturday mornings until 11.30am per month. Occasional work (1-2 times per month) will be required when the wife is working a night shift.
PAY: The Job pays £400 per week for a 5 day week with statutory holiday.
TIMING: Job starts August 1st with a 1 day handover from the current highly qualified nanny (who is retiring!).
