We're currently on a lookout for a talented Word Press Designer / Developer who can bring a breath of fresh air by designing and developing websites / web applications for our clients.
Here at Solvid, we realise the importance of delivering quality results to our clients, be it a one-off web design tweak, Word Press performance optimisation or an entirely new web development project.

Just over a year ago, we started as a one-man business, and now we’re seeing an incredible growth in terms of traffic, clients and exposure - one person can’t handle that anymore :)
Our "official" title is boring. We're a small SEO and Word Press Development start-up based in London, UK.
However, we're more than just a generic Web Design agency - we listen to our clients and bring creative concepts into fully-functional websites.
Who we're looking for:
In three words, we are looking for an Amazing Word Press Developer who can help us achieve a new high.
The successful candidate will work on crafting concepts, designing and developing Word Press websites and applications.
You should have an extensive knowledge of Word Press CMS, Web Design and Development.
You'll be expected to create design concepts, develop websites and web applications, conduct website performance and speed optimisation and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing Word Press websites and web applications
- Designing and implementing new features and functionality
- Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
- Meeting clients to discuss what they want their site to do
- Preparing and crafting a design plan
- Working on user experience optimisation
- Working on performance, speed and server optimisation
Key Requirements and Skills:
- experience in coding (CSS, HTML, PHP and Java Script)
- Have 1 + years of experience designing and developing websites / web applications
- Extensive knowledge of Word Press CMS, Plugins and Themes
- Knowledge of MySQL, cPanel and API integration
- Setting up e-commerce applications
- Extensive knowledge of Affinity Designer / Illustrator / PhotoShop (or any other design software)
- Strong understanding of UX and visual design
- Portfolio demonstrating your past projects
- Strong creative skills
- The ability to pay attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills and a logical approach to work
- The ability to explain technical matters clearly
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Passionate about learning new things
- Ability to work on your own and in a team
But we’d prefer a bit more (additional skills):
- Extensive experience in Word Press Plugin and Theme Development
- Developing new features and custom web applications
- Have experience in SEO and website optimisation
- Extensive experience in coding (CSS, HTML, PHP and Java Script)
- Ability to produce extensive Word Press plugin / theme guides
- Sense of humour
A bit more about the job:
Salary: £20,000 - £23,000 per Annum
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 10:00 - 17:30 (Monday - Friday)
Holiday: 28 days of paid annual leave + bank holidays
Location: City of London
Additional: Unlimited coffee, tea and snacks
