The role will include group work with SEN and lower ability children as well as intervention groups. Previous experience working with SEN children is not required but previous experience working with 5-10 year Olds ideally in a school environment is a bonus.
We are looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant who has excelled in their academic studies and wants to train in a school that strives for academic excellence from reception through to Sixth Form, with many of their students going onto the top Universities in the country.
The ideal Graduate Teaching Assistant will be confident in their ability to have a strong presence in the classroom and able to handle challenging behaviour form the children. The school promotes a nurturing but firm approach so you must be willing to embrace this philosophy. You will be required to work with your own initiative in the absence of the class teacher/SENCO and should be quick to follow up on instructions.
