We currently have a 4 day residency at Old Spitalfields Market, Shoreditch, London, E1, a as well as the occasional festival.
Role:
We are after part time staff to help us prepare our Market Stalls and sell our Tasty Jollof boxes at the Market for 3 days a week and the occasional festival in our gazebo. Staff will be involved with all activities at the market, this includes setting up and presenting the stall/gazebo, kitchen assistance responsibilities as well as most importantly serving our hungry lunch time customers!
What we are looking for:
Above all we are looking for someone who proves to be reliable, responsible, trustworthy and friendly. Provides great customer service and has a passion for quality food. Comfortable with the heavy lifting, not afraid of getting their hands a little dirty and enjoys being around people!
experience in food preparation and customer service would be ideal and full training will also be given. A food handling certificate would be a major plus!
Day to Day activities will include :
- Serving Customers
- Unloading deliveries from Van
- Food Storage cage : Organising, Loading, Unloading, Bringing it to shop floor via Lift
- Peeling and preparing food items.
- Setting up and Merchandising of Stall
- Washing kitchen Utensils and Food cooling boxes and Cleaning work surfaces
What we offer:
We are offering 3 days a week to the right candidate, Tuesday , Wednesday and Friday. Hours start at 9am and finish by 5pm.The occasional festival may require longer days and could be over consecutive days but notice will be given.
We offer Full training, Great working attire and of course free food! Our wage is £7.50 per hour!
