The Job Role:
SUSHISAMBA® London/Duck and Waffle is an extremely busy and fast paced fine-dining operation. To ensure our guests are offered an uncompromised experience, a lot goes on behind the scenes to make sure things run smoothly.
The Goods Receiver is an integral role for the business, ensuring the stock, produce and any other in-bound items for SUSHISAMBA® London/Duck and Waffle are quality checked before being allocated to the right department and location.
This role requires you to be the eyes and ears across the entire business ensuring par-levels are maintained, goods-in are checked for quality or inconsistencies, as well as confidently liaising with suppliers and external partners on behalf of the business.
The Ideal Candidate:
• An attention to detail is essential in the role
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Organisational skills are essential for this role
• Can work well under pressure, and tight deadlines
• This role involves a significant level of manual labour; you will also be required to be on your feet for most your working day
• Communication is vital – you must have a good command of the English language, both spoken and written
• Ability to challenge discrepancies or errors with deliveries
• Food and beverage product knowledge is advantageous
• Previous experience in a related field, preferably restaurants, hotels etc.
• Maintain effective systems, processes and standards
• Additional ad hoc duties/project work may be required
• Computer skills advantageous
