We are looking for a General Manager with a ‘ can do attitude’ who can lead from the front, be passionate about food, wine and beer and understands the importance of great service.
We are a lovely Fresh Food Pub in Newington Green, North London serving modern British and European cuisine, excellent cask Ales, fine wines and local craft Beers. We hold Live events which we are looking to expand on, currently we show live sports and hold Quiz and Live music nights.
Applicant must have worked for a minimum of two years in the bar and food industry preferably with previous management experience in a Fresh Food Pub We are a friendly, relaxed bar serving local people good food. You will be working to build our reputation through Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and will be responsible for ensuring that the website is up-to-date (knowledge of HTML desirable).
The role will comprise of management tasks and business development as well as the day-to-day running of the bar. Applicant must have experience of cellar management, be Casque Marque (or equivalent) trained and have a good knowledge of real Ales, craft Beers, cocktails and fine wines. You must hold a personal license and be able to work evenings and weekends. You will be responsible for cellar management, stock control, management of our Epos system and staff training and development. Must be literate in written and spoken English, proficient in Microsoft word and excel. experience in mixology would be beneficial for our small cocktail menu. Creative ideas with regards to promoting and sustaining the business are welcome. The perfect candidate must be passionate, driven, detail orientated and not afraid of a challenge. You must also be able to keep up to date with licensing legislation, liaising with the local authorities and take over all legal responsibility for the premises. Enforcing health and safety, adhering to budgets, increasing profit and managing cash flow.
