Job Summary
The post holder will be responsible for facilitating escape games in various escape units and will ensure gaming activities run smoothly and efficiently. They will be confident and proactive in facilitating and communicating effectively with players and have an in-depth knowledge of all H and S, technical and maintenance functions.
They will form an integral part of the team ensuring good customer relations are maintained, and will be a strong advocate for promoting the clue Quest brand through communication of the latest marketing information.
Key Responsibilities
Start escape units, open first exits and prepare briefing area.
Communicate with players through walkie-talkies during events.
Meet and greet customers when they arrive.
Brief and prepare players before commencement.
Provide game induction and background history.
Continually monitor game process and provide hints and tips to customers when needed.
Acquire feedback and take photos of players after conclusion of game.
Celebrate teams’ success and highlight achievements.
Deal with customer queries and complaints.
Assist in the training of new staff members.
Highlight clue Quest marketing and promotional material.
Debrief teams after game has finished
Encourage teams to leave a customer reviews on Tripadvisor.
Observe all company policies and adhere to set processes and training.
Keep breifing area tidy and neat at all times.
Health and Safety
Report any incidents to Management Team and record appropriately in line with H and S regulations.
Intervene and stop play if required to prevent damage and/or personal injury.
Celebrate teams’ escape and give constructive and positive feedback.
Maintenance
Manage co-workers to carry out maintenance and improvement works.
Check and clean public spaces and toilets on a regular basis.
Person Specification
Essential:
Customer service experience
Good time keeping and ability to multi-task.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and provide exceptional customer service.
Can build effective relationships with a diverse range of clientele.
Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
Logical thinker with excellent problem solving skills.
Excellent telephone and email manner
Familiarity and experience with a range of computer software.
An outgoing and cheerful personality with a strong work ethic.
Desirable:
experience of working within an events/escape game environment.
