Job Description:
The main duty of this role will be to assemble flat pack furniture, this includes Beds, wardrobes, tables, chairs etc. experience in assembling flat pack furniture is imperative, but some guidance will be given.
The Furniture Assembler will be preparing deliveries by loading the van with customer orders, delivering them in a timely manner to customers homes. The assembler/driver will also assemble the furniture  in the customers home. The driver/assembler will be looking after the warehouse and unloading deliveries in to the stock room and generally looking after the logistics department. The Driver will be working alongside a drivers mate in a 2 team operation. The driver may also be involved in other duties around the business i.e. Travelling to exhibitions and putting together the stand etc. Van is company provided, Being a handy man to help in and around the store is ideal as the work will involve some general maintenance and assembling furniture.
The Work
You will be:

Assembling flat pack furniture in the store.
Helping to load goods into the van for delivery to customers and assembling furniture in the store and customers homes.
Making sure that the goods are loaded securely and will not move or get damaged in transit.
Helping to find the best route for the journey by map reading or using either satellite, although your route may already be prepared for you.
Unloading the van and carrying the goods into the customer’s premises or home and assembling the furniture where required.
Getting POD (point of delivery) signatures and perhaps taking payment or orders.
Building or assembling furniture or other equipment on site in some cases.
Handy man
Helping to clean the vehicle.
Keeping the warehouse in a good condition.

Requirements:

Driving licence 3 years min
Furniture assembly 2 years min
Van Driving 3 years min
Loading and unloading experience
Use GPS
Read and Write in English
General Repairs (minor works)

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £9.00 to £10.00 /hour
