As part of our continued growth, we are looking to hire a Funeral Service Operative for our Acton branch. No previous experience is necessary, as full training will be provided for the right person.
The role of a Funeral Service Operative is very hands on, and will see you getting involved with all aspects of the funeral process. Many people who do this role find the work very rewarding. No two days in this role will be the same.
Your duties will include:
• Driving ceremonial vehicles, bearing coffins and working as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of every funeral.
• Bringing the deceased into our care and assist with coffin deliveries.
• Fitting coffins, and preparing the deceased for their final journey
• Cleaning company vehicles in line with company policies and procedures
• Ensuring the mortuary and workshop areas remain clean and tidy at all times
The right candidate must have a full driving licence and be available to work 'on call' and 'out of hours' shifts.
The successful applicant must be able to maintain the highest levels of standards every step of the way. As an ambassador of the business you will lead by example, ensuring that the company’s policies and practices are met and exceeded. In addition to the basic salary and London Weighting Allowance there is an opportunity to earn up to 10% bonus based on company and personal performance. Additional payments are also made for out of hour working.
