Fundraising Database Administrator

Role specific responsibilities:-

Your role will be to ensure all gift transactions are recorded on the charity’s database, acknowledgements issued when appropriate for Administrator to do so and monthly fundraising reports are produced for the Finance team.
To support the data requirements of the Fundraising team.
To run queries to answer ad-hoc data requests.
To maintain data integrity through the application of robust processes.
To perform data cleansing and hygiene tasks.
To provide day to day support for users of the Raisers Edge database.

Knowledge of good working practice and experience of fundraising and donor management databases ideally Raiser’s Edge.
Ability to effectively and efficiently receive, process and acknowledge donations ensuring the highest standards of donor management including importing and exporting of data.
experience of best practice in importing and exporting significant quantities of data.
experience of selecting and manipulating data from fundraising databases or CRM systems.
experience of compiling marketing data segmentation selection lists for fundraising campaigns.
Ability to prioritise, organise and manage workload effectively whilst dealing with unplanned interruptions.
Excellent communication (oral and written English language) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to deliver donor, fundraising  and donation reports.
Excellent customer focused skills
Excellent IT skills, Microsoft Word and Excel to a high standard.
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to Charity and Trust policies.

Knowledge of NHS Charities and Special Purpose Funds.
experience in data cleansing
experience of post campaign analysis for appeals and events.
Understanding of data protection legislation and how this should be applied to fundraising.
