We are a friendly family of four looking for an au pair to join our family and help look after our two children – a boy about to be 6 years and girl who is 8 years We are also potentially interested if you are just looking for a live out after school nanny role.
The children get on really well and enjoy lots of activities including drama, gymnastics, Lego and baking. We also have a very friendly Labrador dog.
We are looking for someone who is organised, fun, likes to be outdoors and kind.
If its an au pair role it will be up to 35 hours per week, plus up to 2 nights babysitting, though its rare that we use both. The hours may vary but will typically be 7-9am two mornings and 3—7 for childcare. We can be pretty flexible so if there is a course or activity you would like to do in your spare time, or would like to take a few Fridays to have long weekends away to explore Europe or visit home we can probably accommodate it.
We live in Clapham Common which has amazing parks, cafes and lots of other young people. It is approximately 15/20 Mins from central London by tube. You would have a large double sized bedroom, with a big flatscreen TV with a shared bathroom.
The au pair duties would include:
• Taking the children to school in the morning
• Picking up from school with the dog
• Overseeing homework and music practice
• Organising playdates and taking to after school activities
• Light house work (we have a cleaner once a week) including: Children’ laundry -washing/ putting it away and ironing for all the family
We would also hope for our au pair to have:
• Previous childcare experience
• A very good standard of spoken English
• Good references
• Driving a plus but not essential.
• A non-smoker
We are willing to pay £150 plus depending on experiences. If you have very good English and experience we are willing to pay more.
We would prefer it if you were already in the UK and available to meet in person.
