Construction Project Manager

Salary package dependant on demonstrable experience and overall suitability of the successful candidate.
Requirement:
3-5 years’ demonstrable experience as a Site Manager.
Good knowledge of UK building methods and regulations.
SMSTS, 1st Aid, Fire Marshall and relevant CSCS accreditation.
Good command of spoken and written English.
Basic IT skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project.
experience in use of Master programme of works.
experience in use of technical architectural drawings.
experience in management of contractors and subcontractors.
experience in management of health and safety on site.
Able to plan work well, and to be well-organised, and prepared for responsibility and decision making.
Preferably clean UK driving license.
Ability to procure labour and materials when required.
Main duties:
Oversee site operations on a day-to-day basis. Ensure work is done safely, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards.
Ensuring specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with company directors and contracts manager to monitor costs and increase efficiency.
Monitor progress against programme of works, oversee delivery of materials and carry out safety checks and sort out any problems which could hold up work as they arise.
Ensure work complies with building regulations and health and safety legislation as well as other legal requirements.
Carry out quality checks on all works on site. Manages site team and subcontractors so that required quality expectations are met.
Liaise with architects, engineers, surveyors and planners as required.
Keep in close contact with members of their site team at all times.
Manages day to day issues.
Acts as the first point of contact for members of the public and sub-contractors.
Make sure that the deadline for completing work is met by continuously setting clear goals with the site team, setting expectations to site subcontractors and communicating with company directors.
Oversee all projects from inception to completion.
Take ownership for Health and Safety and Environment responsibility.
Work closely with the pre-construction team on; SHE, Build ability and programme issues and review and comment on design information issues by both consultants and suppliers.
Work closely with the site team to ensure that things run smoothly – an effective communicator is essential.
Manage projects in line with the agreed finance and production targets and reports.
Have key client-facing responsibility
You will be a degree calibre individual – with a proven track record delivery.
