Eastside Youth is a new youth work charity, that started in January 2022 and is based in East London aiming to change the lives of young people and has been set up in response to the massive and severe funding cuts and closures of youth services across East London, leaving young people with lack of services and feeling isolated in a time where young people already feel segregated from society with no real voice.
#YouthWorkChangesLives and at Eastside Youth we aim to facilitate that change by giving young people aged 11 to 19 years old based in East London the tools and skills to lead active and independent lives by providing interactive and engaging structured youth activities, training opportunities and support that will help improve their physical, mental, emotional, social and educational well-being.
We are looking for full time or part time short term volunteers or unpaid interns to join Eastside Youth in one of our new upcoming positions over a 3-6 month period to help our new youth charity become a huge success.
1. Charity Management Position
In this role you will assist and support the Founder and CEO in running Eastside Youth, managing the day to day responsibilities of the charity, including strategy planning and development, service development, bid writing and other duties needed to run a small charity.
2. Operations Management Position
In this role you will provide overall management of youth programs, including creating new activities and supporting our volunteers who run current programs for young people, ensuring that quality youth work and high level of standards are being maintained.
3. Youth Work Positions
In this role you will plan, organise, deliver and coordinate and lead a range of one off or short term youth work activities or a programme for young people aged between 11 and 19 years old in East London. This includes running/delivering sessions and coaching and supporting volunteer youth support workers, ensuring that quality youth work and high level of standards are being maintained and the health and safety of young people are at the forefront of your mind.
4. Fundraising Positions
In this role you will lead on fundraising activities and events to ensure that Eastside Youth has the funds needed to carry out its work with young people in East London. This could include writing funding bids/grant applications, or leading on one or more fundraising activities such as a pub quiz, raffle or other fundraising based activities or events.

1. Can do attitude and solution focused.
2. Fantastic people skills (Friendly, Approachable, Confident and Communication/Presentation).
3. Excellent time keeping and punctuality.
4. Organised and able to get on with tasks easily.
5. Good standard of reading and writing.
6. Good understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding/child protection and equal opportunities.
7. Ability to commit to either full time or part time, short term over a 3-6 month period, flexible including evenings and weekends in line with our core service hours.
