For the Core
For the Core (FTC) is a brand new Yoga and Pilates studio and juice bar based in Hoxton.
For the Core is a family-owned business providing clients with the opportunity to escape the stresses of everyday life by promoting the replenishment of both mind and body. For the Core encourages relaxation and restoration from the moment clients walk in and throughout and after each class.
The juice bar serves delicious and nutritious snacks for clients to enjoy throughout the day.
Responsibilities
As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the studio and juice bar. You will be expected to manage Profit and Loss, store-level sales and financials such as staffing and inventory costs, whilst maintaining operational excellence and demonstrating exceptional leadership behaviour.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Managing the smooth operation of the fitness studio, whilst maintaining a clean and friendly atmosphere at the studio.
• Conducting competitor analysis of trends within the wellness industry.
• Reporting all maintenance issues to the FTC founders.
• Identifying potential new instructors to join the team.
• Suggesting amendments to the class schedule, based on client feedback.
• Maintaining customer databases and booking platforms.
• Developing and implementing Marketing and managing studio promotions via online, print and in-store.
• Managing hire space enquiries.
• Adhering to all company food safety, cash handling, operational policies and procedures and ensuring that all team members are in compliance as well.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with:
• Exceptional customer service skills, creating an intimate, friendly and welcoming environment for each client.
• Excellent written, verbal and hands-on employee management skills.
• A minimum of 1 years’ restaurant/juice bar/coffee shop management experience.
• The ability to make juices and coffee.
• The willingness to work 40 hours a week, including evenings and some weekends.
• The ability to manage part-time staff.
• The proactivity, initiative and creativity to see an idea through.
• Knowledge of Yoga/Pilates (beneficial).
