Bio Fires are a small and friendly company specialising in bio ethanol fireplaces for over 15 years. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and pro-active Office and Showroom Assistant in our central London office/showroom to cover maternity leave with the possibility to extend the contract.
Ideally, the candidate would have a passion for interior design and an eye for technical details. You will have some office and admin experience and you would like to grow within your role. This is a great opportunity for a fast learner to gain experience in a dynamic, exciting and stimulating environment.
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
Start: July
Salary: trial month £8/hour, afterwards £18,500 gross per annum (full time) with 21 days holiday (+ bank holidays)
Duration: Maternity cover fixed contract with possibility to become permanent. Not applicable to students.
Working visa or work permit for minimum 1 year is required.
Main duties
Customer service on the phone, chat and email.
Taking and processing orders on the phone, online and in the showroom.
Scheduling deliveries on a courier software.
Supporting customers in case of problems
Invoicing
Taking showroom appointments
Stamping and posting outgoing mail (legible hand writing required!)
Filing documents
E-bay shop
Ordering office supplies
General office ad-hoc tasks
What we expect
Excellent written and spoken English
Minimum one-year office experience
Excellent computer skills
Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
Ability to multitask and work in a busy environment.
Good organisation with attention to detail (CRUCIAL!)
Positive and professional attitude
Be extremely trustworthy and have a great deal of initiative.
Good sense of humour (we like to laugh!)
