We are currently looking for a Full Time Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 or.
3) To join our team in N19 Tunfell Park) in our pre-school room.
Hours - Monday - Friday 9.30 - 6pm (50 weeks of the year - we are open during school holidays).
Your duties will include:
Awareness of physical, intellectual, social, emotional and cultural needs of the children.
Providing appropriate and sensitive physical care in areas such as washing, toileting, feeding and dressing.
Working knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Preparing and organising purposeful and stimulating age appropriate activities.
Being involved with the children in their activities, stimulation, encouraging and extending these activities.
Being aware of issues relating to children with special education needs including physical disability, behavioural and learning difficulties. Helping to ensure an atmosphere in which children with special educational needs are valued and respected.
Ensuring the premises are clean and tidy and comply at all times with the requirements of legislation and Leaping Lizards policies.
Promote an anti-racist and anti-sexist atmosphere.
Provide a safe and secure homelike environment for the children within your care.
Participating in regular staff meetings when required
Maintaining awareness of current childcare practice and legislation attending training as necessary.
Such other duties within the competencies of the post holder, which may be required from time to time.
Any other duties the Room Leader or Management instruct you to carryout.
The nature of the job requires a high degree of initiative, confidentiality, tact and discretion when giving or receiving information, which could be confidential.
You are required to hold a DBS certificate and will need to provide 2 references.
