A lovely busy French family in Kensington, are looking for a long term, live in housekeeper who is child friendly, to look after the housework and cooking and help a little with their two children aged 7 and 4 year old. To apply please email your CV or apply via the link. Family BackgroundA busy family of four, with two children (7 and 4 year old) who attend school and nursery. They have a large 5 Storey house, which is decorates to a high standard, with fine art and beautiful antiques and furnishings. They have had a long term live out housekeeper, but as their nanny (who was live in) is moving on, they are looking to transition the role to a long term live in housekeeper as the children are now at nursery and school full time. They want to find a new caring, child friendly housekeeper who will be an integral part of their family life in a new long-term role with them. Ideally they would like you to stay for at least 3 years, but would love to have someone commit for longer. Duties You'll be responsible for all the housekeeping, deep cleaning, laundry and ironing. In the morning you will help get the children ready for school and cook a lovely breakfast for the family. You may also be asked to collect the children for school and/or nursery if the mother is unable to collect them, you will be sole charge of the children at this time. You will also be expected to babysit twice a week. Cooking is part of the role, with breakfast and dinners being the main meals. The family like healthy, simple and freshly prepared food. There is no pet care (as they have no pets). You should be able to do basic mending of clothes and be excellent at ironing. You should be confident to deal with delicate materials and send them to dry cleaners if required. Managing deliveries at the house, and ordering groceries when required. You should have a focused and professional approach, and love to take care of the house to a high standard. You should be looking for a long term position, as the family want to have a long term member of staff. As it's a busy family, you should be happy to be discreet and just have good common sense to get on with tasks at hand, to help make family life run smoothly. The mother works from home, and often has clients visiting her, so you should be well presented and happy to open the door and welcome guests. You should be dynamic, fit and healthy, willing to get involved in all aspects of family life. Location/Accommodation The family home is in Kensington. You'll be provided your own basement floor, with private bathroom, ensuite and kitchenette. Although this is part of the main house, you are self-contained in this area. Days/Hours Monday to Friday with very rare weekend work. The family respect the weekend time is yours, and during the week you would work 7am-7pm but with frequent breaks during the day as long as all the duties are done. With option for 2 evenings of babysitting during the week. Languages You should speak a good level of English. Special SkillsNo driving is required.
