Job overview
The Kitchen Porter situated in the Spook HQ kitchen is responsible for the general cleaning and tidiness of the kitchen. Ensuring that the kitchen and prep areas are clean and ready both prior to and after food preparation. This role works closely with both the senior chef team and the Facilities Manager to ensure that the kitchen and warehouse are clean, tidy and kept in a state that reduces the likelihood of pests. The Kitchen Porter is responsible for working with the Senior Chef Team to maintain the high standards of Spook.
Duties and responsibilities
Washing and cleaning of all Spook cooking and service equipment.
Tidying away and cleaning back of house area as instructed.
Full clear down and clean of Kitchen at the end of each day.
Feeding back to Exec / Senior Sous Chef on levels of cleaning materials and equipment needed.
Basic food prep if required
Following cleaning Rota (daily / weekly / monthly) including regular deep cleaning.
Ensuring that fridges are kept clean and clear of obstruction.
Emptying all bins (including office) at the end of each day and putting them in correct receptacles (recycling, food waste, general waste, glass waste)
Assisting Facilities Manager with event pack up / van maintenance if required.
Reporting maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager.
