The Tommyfield pub in Kennington is looking to employ a Full time Commis Chef to join our team.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- To be part of the team in the preparation and service of food, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times and to ensure that the kitchen areas designated, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the standards required by the restaurant
- To learn and record skills and recipes from senior chefs
- To ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service and expectations are consistently exceeded
- To ensure mis-en-place is completed in your section
- To follow closely the menu specifications to ensure consistency of dishes
- To Adhere to Health and Safety within the Kitchen
- To put forward any exciting ideas that may be implemented in increasing efficiency of the kitchen
- To be able to work as an individual and as part of a team
- To be flexible and willing to help others at busy times if require
- You will be expected to work an average of 7 shifts a week (40 hrs)
The candidates should:
- have at least 6 months experience in a busy kitchen
- hold a valid work permit
