We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Chef De Partie who has a background of working in a busy kitchen with fresh and seasonal food to join our kitchen brigade at the The Peasant, an award winning pub and restaurant.
Nestled in between Islington and Smithfield markets, The Peasant is a beautifully restored former gin palace that offers great British food in the bar downstairs and superb fine dining in the restaurant upstairs. We cater for lots of large functions, so experience of volume is essential
As Chef De Partie you will run your own section ensuring all dishes leaving your section are effectively executed. You must have a desire to develop your skills and be a good listener
You will work 7 shifts (49 hours) per week and will be paid for any over time.
You will have a min of two days off per week
50% off food
All staff meals provided
28 days holiday per annum
We close over Christmas every year, from 24th Dec – 2nd Jan and we close nearly all bank holidays.
We always have a big Christmas and summer staff party
The key responsibilities of this role include;
• Management of a section during service.
• Work well as part of a small team
• the ability to deliver consistent results under pressure
• Ability to train and direct junior members of the team
Ideal Candidate
•Ideally up to 2 years’ experience working at Chef De Partie level
• experience working with fresh and seasonal food
• Be passionate about food with a desire to learn and work hard
