Book Keeper

As a financial bookkeeper, your main role would be to keep an official track of company spending so when it comes to filing accounts there is an accurate trail of all the outgoings
Are you great with numbers? and highly organised? This is the job for you.
Your daily 'to do' list will include the followings:
· Balancing Accounts (also known as 'double book keeping')
· Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments
· Completing VAT returns
· Preparing invoices for the Inland Revenue
· Checking company bank statements
· Preparing cash flow statements
· Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
· Collecting payroll information and sending it to the accounting firm responsible for submitting monthly RTIs.
You will also help preparing the trial balance and liaise with the external accountant/accounting firm who will be preparing statutory accounts at the end of the year.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Purchase supplies and equipment as authorized by management
2. Monitor office supply levels and reorder as necessary
3. Tag and monitor fixed assets
4. Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner
5. Take all reasonable discounts on supplier invoices
6. Pay any debt as it comes due for payment
7. Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
8. Issue invoices to customers
9. Collect sales taxes (Output VAT) from customers and remit them to the government
10. Any other task may be required from time to time
some training will be provided on our software but ideally candidate should have some experience in Solicitors Accounts.
