The Stonhouse Pub, a busy gastro pub off Clapham High Street, is looking for a responsible and reliable full-time bartender and waitstaff.
The successful bartender will have a few years’ experience working in a similar environment. You will have knowledge of cask Ales, safe gas handling, and cellar management. Some cocktail-making experience and a basic knowledge of wines is expected, as is the ability and willingness to serve tables whenever called upon to do so.
You will be confident and friendly, and pride yourself on excellent customer service. You will demonstrate a very relaxed, cheerful manner with customers, but understand the importance of being fast and focused, and of communicating well with colleagues. You should also live locally, speak English fluently and be available to work weekends and evenings.
Weekday shifts require full-time staff to work independently and they must therefore possess above-average serving skills in addition to the above, as well as have excellent initiative finding tasks to perform during quieter periods.
