Part of a small, independent pub company, the Roebuck is a well established Boozer offering award winning sustainable food, local Beers and spirits in an iconic setting.
This is an exciting time to join the team, with a refurbishment imminent and the chance to put your stamp on the site. Applicants should be full of ideas and ambition.
Your priority will be running a highly efficient service with a strong focus on personal customer service. You will be responsible for running the bar, training new staff to meet our high standards and making sure these are adhered to. You will be maintaining and enhancing our product offering, always bearing in mind our commitment to locally produced, sustainable suppliers. Working closely with our team of chefs you will be expected to lead on food focused events and offer strong front of house support for their innovative menu.
You will assist with all aspects of administration, including stock control, ordering, cashing up and payroll and lead weekly team meetings.
About You:
- A natural born leader capable of bringing a team together like a family – we have excellent records of staff retention
- A customer service maestro with a keen eye for detail and personal service
- A creative problem solver full of new ideas for improving service and products
- Willing to learn and respect established business practices
- Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage workload
- Critical thinker
Required Skills and experience:
- Minimum two years customer service experience
- experience leading a team
- experience in a fast paced work environment
- Proven track record of increasing footfall to a venue or business
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to critically analyse situations
- An interest in food and drink
Preferable:
- A passion for local produce and sustainability
- Hospitality experience
- Industry knowledge
- Cellar experience
- Social media savvy
- Knowledge of the local area and hospitality scene
The Role:
- Starting salary of £24-29k DOE
- 45 hours per week, days, evenings and weekends
