We are looking for a full time assistant manager and barista for our lovely Balham branch of Blackbird Bakery. experience for this position really is essential. The job will involve making espresso based drinks, serving, food prep, general cleaning, chatting to customers and of course tasting all our lovely produce! You will also provide a supportive role assisting the manager in any other duties as necessary, taking a senior active role when they are not available, such as ordering, stock control and running shifts. You will have at least a basic and/or level 2 food hygiene certificate as well as Barista experience. The role will involve a mixture of shifts and will include some early starts and at least one weekend day. Our Balham shop has a great team and there is a lovely community atmosphere on Hildreth Street. Most importantly we are looking someone who can build a good rapport with our regular customers and who works well as part of a team with an outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
