The Prince Regent, Herne Hill is looking to recruit a dedicated assistant Manager and Bar/Floor Supervisor to join our experienced management team.
The Prince Regent is a very busy Gastropub in the heart of the community in Herne Hill, serving delicious, freshly made food, lovingly nurtured real ale and craft beer, carefully selected wines and other thirst quenching beverages. Along with normal day to day service, we also have two large private rooms that are in constant use for private parties and functions.
We are looking for a career professional that will manage the smooth running of our busy bar/restaurant. We need someone who is passionate high quality food and also knowledgeable about real ale and craft beer. A good understanding of wine and a willingness to improve your knowledge is also essential. You must be fastidious when it comes to cellar management.
The perfect candidate will learn to take on duties including opening and closing the business along with managing all aspects of bar/floor service.
The Assistant Manager/ Supervisor responsibilities will include;
• Managing a busy service
• Cellar management, Stock ordering and product management
• Organisation and implementation of rotas.
• Staff meetings
• Cash handling
• Managing opening and closing procedures
This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work for an average of 8 shifts a week. Your hourly wage rate will depend on your experience. All tips will be shared amongst working staff on any particular shift. You will be fed before every shift.
