Sparrow restaurant in Lewisham has vacancies for full time and part time waiting staff to join our friendly team, starting January 2022.
We are looking for articulate friendly waiting staff to guide our customers through our menu, and to serve meals and drinks in a cheerful and helpful manner.
A passion for great food and quality ingredients is a must, as is a desire to provide our customers with an excellent experience, and being advocates of our culinary brand.
Responsibilities
-In depth knowledge of our menu, and presenting options with confidence.
-Advising and answering questions on the best choices for each customer.
-Taking orders and delivering them to the table deftly and accurately.
-Liaising with the kitchen team, to work together on a successful service.
-compliance with health and safety standards.
-Resolving any issues calmly and collectively.
-Delivering checks and taking payments
-Working with other staff as a coherent team.
-Offering outstanding service quality at all times.
Requirements
-Fluent in English
-Previous experience as a waiter, punctual and reliable.
-Ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers.
-Customer focused planning skills
-Working knowledge of tills and ordering systems.
-Outstanding people skills and an ability to anticipate the needs of our customers.
-Patient and friendly, with experience in problem solving.
-Legal right to work in the UK
