This is an attractive, long-term position for a Nanny who enjoys one to one and the teaching aspect of childcare. The children attend top end London schools and enjoy active - outdoorsy lifestyle. As the parents have demanding jobs, this is a complete sole charge position. The family look forward to their weekends together. They are friendly and easy to approach, supporting their employees.
The children. A 3 years old girl who attends a local nursery 5 mornings per week.
Please note: the couple also have an 8 years old boy, who has his own afterschool Nanny. She has been with the family for over 3 years. We placed this Nanny and have received very positive feedback.
The contracted days/hours. Monday to Friday from 11am to 7pm.
Additional hours: Flexible to work late/baby-sit if needed in the week. This is when the parents have late meetings or travelling.
Duties: Organise and implement age appropriate, educational activities in the home. Teach her through play "academics" such as - numbers, letters, shapes etc. Outdoor activities to support learning - day trips, social play dates, learn about surroundings, general play. Be a positive role model and promote independence, good manners and social behaviour. Engage in stimulating conversations and stretch vocabulary. Establish a loving relationship and provide a safe environment. Other: prepare a meal, bath and bed routine.
Key requirements: these are a must.
- Educational background with a minimum Level 3 in Early Years Development or similar, or Education degree.
- Native English speaker (UK, Australia, New Zealand etc)
- Hold 5 years minimum childcare experience.
- Super organised. Creative. Mature. Friendly and warm character.
- Checkable references, have copies of certificates and DBS checked (or willing)
- An easy commute. Ideally 40 minutes max.
- Long-term placements with employers
We will consider candidates with no formal qualification but with long-term, proven placements working with ages 2 years + and naturally have a teaching approach.
Start: as soon as possible Understand, we may need to wait 4 weeks if working out a notice.
Salary: TBD and dependant on the profile. £13 net is the minimum.
