We are looking for a live-in nanny to take care of our two happy and inquisitive children (a three-year-old-boy and 22 month-old-girl) five days a week starting in January 2022. The role is sole charge as both my husband and I work full-time (as freelance television producers).
The hours would typically be 08:15 - 18:45 from Monday to Friday with 2 nights babysitting per week. Some weeks however the hours will be less because my husband and I go through short periods when we work flexibly so can offer a later start time and/or earlier finish time. Weekend work is never required.
Both children attend a local Montessori preschool several mornings a week during term time. It's therefore possible we could accommodate a couple of mornings off for a nanny per week, if desired (i.e. The nanny could start at 12.30pm two days a week) - although we would need some flexibility during school holiday time.
Nursery duties (e.g. Children's laundry) and light house work (e.g. Keeping kitchen / living room clean and tidy) are required. More heavy duty housework is not part of the role - as we have a weekly cleaner.
Our home is in a buzzy, family-friendly area in the heart of Shepherds Bush very close to the tube and buses, as well as to parks, cafes, shops and fun things to do with the children. The nanny accommodation comprises a lovely light and airy double bedroom (with TV, DVD and wifi) with adjacent bathroom on its own floor.
The job would be attractive for someone who might like some extra annual leave over and above the norm (e.g. To travel or visit family/friends) - as being freelancers we like to take extra time off with our children, particularly in the summer.
REQUIREMENTS:
- experience of - and passion for - working with children of this age
- Native English speaker (or very high level of fluency)
- DBS checked (or willing to be)
- First Aid trained (with up to date certificate - or willing to do refresher)
- OFSTED registered (or willing to be)
PREFERRED (but not essential):
- Childcare qualifications
- Driver (manual car)
*We are particularly interested to hear from you if you are British, Australian or Kiwi*
*This role may suit a newly qualified nanny - or someone who has worked with children in a nursery or preschool setting but has no previous nanny experience**
TO APPLY: Please send your CV with a photo, contact details and two references.
