We, at Detour Café, are recruiting for looking for both a fantastic Chef and Barista, either full or part time, to join the team.
Our café is a independently owned business that has a solid reputation with the locals for having great food, great coffee and great service. We won the Hammersmith and Fulham Brilliant Business Award for Best Place to Eat in 2021.
If you are fun, professional, creative, passionate, and enthusiastic, then you will complete our fantastic team. Hopefully you will have a passion for either food, coffee or people, and are clean and tidy.
Responsibilities may include opening and closing the café, providing great customer service skills, cleanliness and attention to detail. You will be coming into a team where everyone does a little of everything so serving food and drinks, being a barista, running around clearing tables, being flexible with shifts (we are a seven day operation) and performing cleaning tasks.
If you are a Chef, you will be responsible for creative brunches, salads, sandwiches, occasional catering and baking (Nb. Baking experience is NOT essential to the role). You need to be passionate about food, clean, tidy, experienced in working in a kitchen and an excellent knowledge of the food hygiene standards.
If you are a Barista, ideally you will have great latte art skills.
