London Cheesemongers are a traditional cheese specialist with a growing business, including a shop and event space in Chelsea, several market Stalls across London and the occasional event within the UK. A Cheesemonger takes pride in their trade – it is a job that requires a lot of skill, knowledge and passion.
We are looking for mongers to join the team full-time and part-time. You should have a passion for cheese, or at the very least for eating and cooking. Previous experience working with food or customer service is ideal, but not essential. The job itself is fairly broad. You will have a minimum of three months basic cheesemonger training – this involves everything from eating and learning about the cheeses we sell, understanding cheese and how to work with it, maintaining our rigorous cleanliness and hygiene procedures, to helping with tastings and events.
We want someone that is excited to contribute to London Cheesemongers – whether it’s with an idea for an event or a supperclub you would like to host, or an enthusiasm to help to run the market Stalls and finding us new ones to be a part of.
